According to samsung's founder, the meaning of the word Samsung () in Koreanhanja is “three stars“. The word “three” represents something “big, numerous, and powerful”, while “star” means durable, just like the stars in the sky.

The 2000s saw the birth of the Samsung Galaxy smartphone series, which soon not only became a highly praised and historical industrial product.

But it also often tops the annual list of best-selling smartphones worldwide.

Since 2006, the industry has been the best-selling global tv producer. Starting in 2010, the Galaxy series expanded to tablet PCs with the introduction of the Galaxy Tab.
